If I can yomp in with my size 10s... If there is one bass that has hit a current fashion, it is the "70s" Jazz. The block-markers, fingerboard binding etc is de rigeur. Lee, if the bass has all that and the "F" ashtray bridge cover, s/n neckplate deedah deedah, then I'd suggest an insurance value of £1500 minimum. As SB says, a '69 is even more appreciated than a '70s, because of quality-issue perceptions.
It's not a bass I would let go for less than, if I owned one. |
