Hi everyone,

new to the forum here and just starting playing the acoustic guitar 2 months ago.

my dad used to play the guitar as well, but that was a long time ago. since i started playing, he's considering starting again.

i've got my eye on two guitars, not too sure which one i should get him. i'm considering a couple beginner guitars, cause i don't know how long he's gonna be playing for.
what do you guyz think? the price is pretty close for the two

thanx a lot.. any input is appreciated

A recent Beginner Acoustic thread here at http://guitarsite.com/hotlicks/viewtopic.php?t=1081 mentioned the F 310. Take a look. It generally receives good reviews around the web when it comes to a first acoustic, and if I recall correctly, it got 2nd in About.com's top 5 beginner acoustics.

I thought I'd seen the Yam pick up a gong recently. I do recommend you click on the other thread, it might let you consider other models you hadn't tried out yet.
