What is a good guitar for under $200? I like bands like Green Day...

Epiphone les paul junior, with the single P90 pickup, that should sort you out.

thanks lee, is that a beginner guitar? ive been playing for a little bit and im not bad at all but i just dont know too much about guitars. would the regular lp be about the same?

this Les Paul Epihone Junior is close looking to a Green day guitar

but uses 2 X Humbuckers instead of the single P90 he uses on his Junior, ive seen epi's like this but they are no longer produced, may need a look at ebay if you want one.
The Humbuckers are a lot more versaltile than a single P90, to be honest he uses a Gibson Les Paul Junior Single Cutaway which is probably the cheapest Gibson LP on the market, may be worth looking at those? but
