| on my open coil humbuckers the coil was kind of sticking out so i took my guitar pick and just pushed it up against the pickup. could anything of got damaged or tone change or volume loss?? |

| can you go into a bit more detail?? do you mean the pole peices?? or do you mean a whole coil popped up out of its housing?? i cant picture whats going on here. |

| its very hard to explain, usualy on most humbuckers, how it is wound aroung each end of the pickups, like each half where there are the to magents, usually there is tape on the inside of the pickup but mine doesnt and so on mine the coil came out a bit, like it wasnt right up tight with the piece of plastic so i just pushed it back with my pick |

| Heres an easy way of testing to see it both coils are working and all the poles too, plug your guitar in to your amp (hope its not an M-80, with chorus) turn it up a bit, get a small pointed metal object like a small screwdriver, select the bridge pickup with your selector switch, and touch one of the poles on one of the coils on the bridge pickup, you should hear an audiable 'click' and the screwdriver should stick to the pole, when you do this to the neck pickup you wont hear the click, cos obviously it's switched off, go back to the bridge pickup and test all the poles making sure you can hear an even volumed click on each one, if they all sound ok then you have done no damage. |
