When the sales pitch has more words than the Oxford Dictionary, and the BIN price looks like an Auction number, and then the word 'Colombus' and Made in Japan is introduced, and to top it all comparisons with Tokai and JV Squier, you know you are in for an interesting read.

Oh, the BIN price is particularly hilarious. "So if you want a 70s Strat without the high price tag" spunk £550 on a Columbus Question Question Question

Um, I think someone has bolted that neck to a Mexican strat. No, wait, why would someone do that to a perfectly good Mexican strat? Very Happy

Have you seen his note:

'Usual stuff:

This is a legally binding contract you are entering. Failure to complete the transaction will result in the winning bidder being fined the sum of £50 for wasting everyones time and efforts , no excuses.'

Is a £50 fine usual?
First time ive heard of it.

I saw that and thought "See you in court". Probably thinks he's Judge Dredd but doesn't even make Judge Judy.

'Beautifull vintage wood cased Simms Watts 100watt head'

OK someone thought it was a good idea to rip all the Tolex off the cabinet, you bought it cheap cos it sounded like a nice amp, but how are you gonna shift it on? Replace the tolex? why should you do that when you
have the gift of the gab like this bloke.

I saw it, but resisted the "optimistic" because the starting £180 is actually below the inflated prices that AP100s go for now. I sincerely hop this guy means the case was replaced by a wooden one, not the "chassis" as he mentions. A wooden chassis is not something I'd contemplate. I'd also like to know who charged him £220 for a set of Ruby Tubes, so that the shyster can be struck off everyone's list of amp servicers.

Lastly, I'm getting a bit tired of this "as used by Bowie's guitarist" rubbish. As a student of Mick Ronson, you'll know that he used Marshall Majors. He's probably seen or heard of the Ziggy live pic. Ronson's Marshall can be clearly seen. It is Bowie (strangely absent from most people's "Top Ten Guitarists") who has plugged his acoustic into an AP100 with a single 4x12" cab.
