I've got and old, i think 70's, cameo bass guitar i got from a friend i know nothing about. It has a sunburst finish. kind of looks like an old fender p-bass. It's got a little wooden block below the string i guess was used as a finger mount. If anyone can tell me anything about it i would be very thankful.
thanks,
Mr. Funky4strings

Funky4, I'm sure you've done a search. I've never heard of Cameo. Apart from the Chinese Seagull brand, I turned up a Cameo acoustic (possibly 70s) at http://www.smalltownmusic.com/home/guitarpage/cameo/front.jpg

Maybe the headstock logo or tulip thingy matches your own bass. Sorry, best I could manage.

Arf Laughing . I did wonder how well known the band might be in NC. Free red cod-piece with every bass.
