Apollo Gallery has unveiled what they claim to be "the worlds first surfboard shaped guitar."

The Apollo Gallery Guitar

I question that claim but, as DailyHaHa.com has one heck of a surfboard guitar on show (pictured below). I guess the Apollo Gallery surf-guitar might be easier to play, but this purple monster looks a lot of fun.

"The guitar itself was built by the Dublin born custom guitar maker Roger Courtney who drew inspiration for the body from modern shortboards and for the headstock from bodyboards. Tom Byrne then took the guitar and used it as a canvas for one of his unique wave paintings, referencing both Irelands oceanic myths and the modern sport of surfing in Ireland" their website states.

- Tonepros locking Tune-o-matic Bridge and Tailpiece
