Yeah, my technique is pretty similar, except I don't use the capo. I reckon that's just cheating Laughing

He fluffed 3 notes on the 16th bar, i noticed at 1:21 2:44 and 3:19 mins into the performance he attempted to tune his guitar, which we all know is pointless with a capo on, this leads me to believe he doesn't really know what he is doing Shocked

this is backed up with the chunky knit tank top, Captain beefheart hairdo and Basil Fawlty (you started the war) tash.

I think we're both saying "impressive" in our ironic way, acoustica. Mustard mitt, I did wonder what point there was in fiddling with the tuners myself. Slight showboating, I suspect.

Nice to hear someone play quite quickly but keeping the clarity.

Great guitar work, very clever stuff, but i must admit i did bomb out half way through, i couldn't listen to a whole album of it, but he is a great guitarist.

Whilst I fully appreciate the effort and time it takes to achieve this level of musicianship/playing ability, I personally find this style of playing to be akin to the Steve Vai School Of Visual Playing.

What I mean by this, music has to be listenable - this is far more an exercise in physical dexterity and is a visual exercise that has to be watched to be appreciated. I couldn't listen to it and turned the sound off after about 20 seconds.

To reiterate, accomplished player, but the producer of directionless waffle.

Who remembers Michael Angelo?? (Mike chirp in) he played a custom made Dean guitar with 4 necks, it hung around his neck in a X, i saw him at a guitar show, and he played 2 necks at a time then switched to the other 2, he entertained a room of 50 carrier bag ladden guitar buyers, for about 2 mins, and then you started to see the slow march to the door, of they went wandering aimlessly looking for bargains but only picking up leaflets and free magazines and brochures.
And as a quick note, i think Bass players should be banned from these events, i once saw and heard a Bass player / Demonstrator plucking away Mark King style on some tarty looking 6 string bass with LED's all over it for an astonishing 7 hours!! he went on from 10am to 5pm, i could hear his un-melodic ramblings for the whole day, p-tuck p-tuck tuck punk, bink bink bink p-tunny p-tick.
Ban em all!

Unfortunately, I've never had the pleasure of witnessing Michael Angelo in the flesh. However, I can vouch for everything Lee says.

I once saw a video of Michael Angelo playing a double necked guitar shaped like a spread eagled letter V, and the sound was a combination of squiggly squeals and not much else.

Oddly enough, I've never heard Michael Angelo talk. Is he mute?

Hmmm.......i have the same feeling about Tommy Emmanuel....
In fact i think that all those players have:
1/ songs for "the show"
2/ songs to be listened to.
