Can anyone help with pot values for an old 60's Japanese guitar? It's a Heit Deluxe (one of Teisco's many names) with one "toster" pickup. It looks like the pots are 500k but I've heard you would only use 500k pots with humbuckers and 250k with single coils. I've managed to find a little info on the Teisco gold foil pickup which was wired with a 100k pot and a 500k which seems even weirder. Does anyone have a Teisco that would like to tell me their pot values?

Thanks

I know it's a different model but maybe it will help it is the original schematic that came with the guitar in the 60's

Welcome in Cabot and thanks for taking the time to post the schem, Tom. The "250k for a SC, 500k for an HB" thing is a rule of thumb rather than a concrete law, Cabot. The use of 500k pots may have suited the characteristics of this Teisco pup.
