, my friend with the cellar is moving to a new location. The storage facility is charging nearly £100 a month and she's getting her part of the stuff out so I'm listing all my amps and basses bar the bare minimum (well, my idea of a bare minimum Laughing

).

Have a look at this lot, and (so far) I still have to list the Traynor YBA-1, Mustang and Yamato bass projects, another Dominator MkIII and numerous bass pups, necks, tuners, bridges and electronics. Crikey! I'd forgotten about the stuff in the understairs cupboard as well Shocked

HST, I got a tap-up for what I'd like to get for the Park 100W. I (publicly) replied that it's running the 7 days. Nevertheless, I got a further quickie asking "would I accept £200 for it" Question

Perhaps if delivered as £5 notes that have been used to dry off the naked torso of Maria Sharapova after she showered off her Wimbledon disappointment. Otherwise, no. Couldn't be bothered, so I just deleted the mail Rolling Eyes

And why do all the pictures look as if they have been taken in a Big Yellow Storage facility?

Because they are all in a big, yellow, storage facility, Lee. Read the first sentence. I'm a bit fed up of paying £100 a month for them to sit there. I hope I made some funny replies to your funny Qs and apols for not posting them on the auction descn as I didn't think bidders would get 'em Smile

All sold. The Dynacord Twen went for less than I hoped but everything else went pretty well. The exception was the pair of 2x12" vintage Goodmans for not much over £30. Happily, the high bidder was a fellow forumite on Plexi Palace so at least they're going to someone who'll make good use of them.

And on a more serious note, what did the Park go for? and how about the working WEM?

, Philistine. Actually, I know what you mean. I never understood people paying big prices for Goodmans (based on my experience of '70s bass cabs and all that cheap, catalog hifi stuff of the 80s with Goodmans badges). These cabs changed my op about that, though.

330 for the Park and 175 for whe working Dom - happy with both prices.

330 is cheap for a vintage Marshall, and 175 fo a Dom is a very good deal, but then you only did a local pickup, you cut off the people with all the cash down in the South East.. Laughing

What are we going to do with all the stacks of wonga we have hanging around the house? There are people who shop in Denmark street that would have given you a bag of sand (grand ((£1,000)) for your Park, and im sure most people still think
WEM is mediocre mid range amplfiers.
Are you selling any more? what about the CMI stuff? i didn't see any of that go through the mincing machine.

My CMI is about as "not for sale" as C Ronaldo (ie, won't be parted with unless silly-money offers came in). A happy result of unhappily selling the Traynor before I'd even put a DMM over it is that the buyer is real, old-school, valve whizz literally down the road from me. He's taken away my CMI to look at the caps and install some of my better-quality glass in it. If he offers a fixed Traynor back to me, I could be tempted.

The Park got a bit more than I paid for it. I know what you mean about £1000+ on Denmark St, but I had more than one "vintage dealer" big name of the NW on it. Truth is, they'll only go as high as 1/3 of its "shop" value before bailing out. The sad fact is that, although a good valve amp will take bids, many people are ignorant of speakers. Those pre-Rola G12s probably could have been taken out without affecting the end price much. Similarly, Mullard glass doesn't push an amp's price up by much and a cynic is better off swapping for Chinos and listing the Mulls separately. That combo weighs 35kg, would take half of Scandinavia to wrap in cardboard, and ParcelFarce did their very best to whack it on its way to me; I was within a whisper of lifting the chassis from the speaker cones. Couldn't face the ordeal of a damage return.

OTOH, although the Dom III price was good, I literally have a queue of people waiting for the high bidder to do a runner on me. The secret on these is starting to eke out. I admit, I'm one of their biggest mouthpieces on the web, but I'd still watch any going below £150.
