I've got a JWalkers black Les Paul copy I got at the Guitar Cellar in Vancouver about 30 years ago.

I wonder if anyone knows which Japanese factory made this copy.

I was told a bullshit line at the store that these were special ordered, extra-wndings on the pickup, blah, blah, blah, but it felt right and sounded right so I bought it.

In the mid 80s I saw a JWalkers branded bass .

While I'm on the subject, what about Raven-branded instruments from the same era?

Who made them?

I work at a guitar shop in vancouver as a tech I came across this j walkers copy of a gibson sg it was in horrible shape but it was well made It
took a long time to get it set up and cleaned but I knew there was something different about this guitar, the quality was there. I plugged it in and it sounded better than the best gibson sg I ever played. This guitar is a high quality item from fit to finish I do believe the story they told you. The pick ups are very hot and emulate overwinding. the electronics are almost noiseless, the neck is fast and dead on making the harmonics perfect no easy feat, as a tech I beleieve this could well be a special order and quite expensive or custom made guitar. You do not come across this kind of workmanship in an on the wall copy guitar. I have been researching this guitar on line and at our in home library at work and cant find a thing. I hope this little bit helped if you find anything let me know and i will do the same.
