In that case I can see your problem. It might be worth having that area filled in with a piece of timber so you can use a more commonly available type of bridge.

Is the body routed in the bridge position? Any chance for a close-up of that area?

No almost all acoustics have a sound hole... except for some ovation's and applause's

Well, I'm none the wiser but it certainly an original looking guitar. You won't look like everyone else playing that.

Looks to be nice quality too.
