Pilgrim by Vintage Banjos

Paul Tebbutt, who is a musical instrument maker, teamed up with Vintage Guitars to create a new series of Pilgrim by Vintage banjos.

Paul is a guitar maker and an accomplished banjo player and was the man behind the cult line of Pilgrim bowlback electric acoustics in the 80’s. Paul has been hard at work with the Vintage team to creat the new Pilgrim by Vintage Banjo line. The Pilgrim by Vintage Banjo series employs organic and classic designs that will appeal to newbies, intermediates and professionals alike. The range features no less than fine tonewoods and premium hardware components reflecting Vintage’s impression of performance and value, and is combined with Paul’s passion for tradition, quality, playability, and tone.

The Pilgrim by Vintage series carries eight new models:



VPB018 – 5-string resonator banjo (£379)

The VPB018 has the looks of an old-timer 5-string resonator banjo. With its adjustable tailpiece, the VPB018 is ideal for solo or band use. Just slacken off the tailpiece to create that genuine old-time sound, or tighten it to produce bluegrass style ringing tones. It has 18-bracket rolled brass tone ring, a closed mahogany resonator, and a Remo Weatherking Fiberskyn head.

VPB045 – 5-string closed-back resonator banjo (£479)

The VPB045 focuses on Beauty and performance . The 045 has a a Remo Weatherking Coated head, walnut neck and shell. It has a decorative burr walnut closed-back resonator with 24-bracket rolled brass tone ring. The VPB045 is aimed for bluegrass, the adjustable tailpiece allows for a range of styles.

VPB075 – 5-string closed-back resonator banjo (£699)

The pinnacle of the new Pilgrim by Vintage range is the VPB075. The 075 features a solid maple 3-ply shell, a flamed maple closed-back resonator, and 24-bracket top quality brass tone ring, with a Remo Weatherking Coated head. The 075 is meant to cut through a band and it will also ensure solos have clarity and detail.
