Fender Tim Armstrong Deluxe Acoustic Guitar
Fender introduces the Tim Armstrong Deluxe Acoustic Guitar, a more traditional take on Armstrong's '70s Fender Acoustic.
This new signature guitar is available in right-handed and left handed models, and features a Fishman Neo-D soundhole pickup.
Tim Armstrong is one of the few artists that have multiple signature guitars under their belt, but he is not done yet.
With Fender happy about his signature guitars, Tim was again enlisted by Fender to produce another signature acoustic with his name on the label, this time going for a more traditional design.
This acoustic guitar features a solid mahogany top, which is gives it a unique voice, different from the usual bright sounding spruce topped guitars. The top is supported by laminated mahogany back and sides molded into a Concert body shape. The guitar uses a scalloped X bracing support and features a simple looking '70s F style sound hole rosette.
The 25.3" scale length neck of this guitar is made of maple, topped by Rosewood. It has 20 frets and measures 1.77" at the nut, with a fretboard radius of 11.81". Designed in part by Tim Armstrong, the neck comes with a black painted headstock with acrylic inlays that showcase a Gold Tim Armstrong signature on the truss rod cover.
Instead of the usual under saddle pickups that are prevalent among electro-acoustic guitars, the Tim Armstrong deluxe comes with a Fishman Neo-D Soundhole. Other important features include a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, bone nut and saddle, black and white dot bridge pins, and it comes with a leather embossed "Let's Go" strap.
Finally, in keeping with the guitar's traditional feel and look, both the neck and the body sports a natural satin finish.
The Tim Armstrong Deluxe acoustic guitar is now available for pre order, bearing a price tag of $449.99. To find out more about this acoustic guitar and other Tim Armstrong signatures, you can head over to Fender
