Recording King Classic Series Acoustic Guitar

The Classic Series RD-227

The first series to be available this August, Classic Series dreadnaughts are constructed from premium tonewoods and have exquisite inlay detailing and authentic pre-war-style features.

All models feature fully scalloped forward-x bracing for tonal resonance and strength, a solid Sitka or Engelmann spruce top, solid or standard mahogany or rosewood back and sides, a one-piece mahogany neck, grained ivoroid binding and an ebony fretboard and bridge.

The RD-126/127 has classic herringbone purfling on the top and rosette. The RD-227 has beautiful abalone purfling on the top and rosette. These all-solid models have a redesigned “torch” abalone headstock inlay and classic butterbean tuners.

Originally a house brand in the 1930’s for Montgomery Ward, new Recording King acoustic guitars have the look, feel and sound of the classic models with impeccable workmanship and enhancements for contemporary players.

Classic Series models have a list price starting at $329.99, with all-solid models starting at $549.99. Recording King is the manufacturer of resonator banjos, open back banjos, acoustic guitars and cowboy art guitars.
