Cody Kilby, considered as a bluegrass prodigy and is currently the lead guitarist in Ricky Skagg's band - Kentucky Thunder, is known to be supportive of PRS acoustic guitars. It appears that PRS rewarded his talent and loyalty with a special signature guitar.

The PRS Cody Kilby Signature features a 16" Tonare Grande body that is a bit slimmer compared to the typical PRS Angelus acoustic. The top is made of Adirondack Spruce, and features PRS own x-brace/classical hybrid construction. The back and sides are made of beautiful looking cocobolo wood.

The neck of the guitar is made of mahogany topped with an ebony fretboard. The neck is strengthened by Paul Reed Smith's high-modulus carbon fiber truss rod. Cody specifically noted that the unique green abalone inlays used on his signature is based on '30s and '40s mandolin and banjo inlays that look very traditional.

Other hardware on the guitar include bone nut and saddle, Robson-Designed Tuners with ebony buttons and the guitar is equipped with PRS own pickup system.

Pricing information is not yet available, but it is noted that customers can further customize the top, back, side, neck and fingerboard wood based on PRS Private Stock Vault. I saw the prototype model being sold online for $8,204.
