Washburn Guitars announces the Baby Jumbo
Washburn Guitars has announced the addition of the Baby Jumbo series to their stellar line of acoustic guitars. The Baby Jumbo is ideal for musicians who enjoy the sound of a jumbo-body guitar, but prefer a compact-sized instrument that is player- and stage-friendly.

Washburn WB400SW and WB400SWCE
The Baby Jumbo series includes the WB400SW and the electrified and cutaway WB400SWCE. The body length of both guitars has been compressed and the lower bout enlarged, while still retaining the original body volume of concert-sized guitars, thereby creating a larger vibrating top surface around the bridge. The end result is a full, balanced sound from a sleek, highly playable guitar.
Both Baby Jumbo guitars are crafted with solid rosewood sides and back, along with an ebony fingerboard and bridge. The WB400SW features a solid cedar top, Grover(R) gold tuners, and a bone saddle and nut. The WB400SWCE offers a cutaway, allowing for convenient access to the upper frets, while featuring a solid spruce top along with Washburn's exclusive, B-Band-designed pre-amp system.
Additional Features:
- GC64 case included
- Solid cedar top
- Solid rosewood back and sides
- Mahogany neck
- Ebony bridge and fingerboard
- Bone saddle and nut
- Ivory binding
- Bound rosewood-capped headstock
- Glossy finish
- Gold Grover 18:1 gear-ratio tuners
- Abalone rosette
Pricing and Availability
The Washburn Baby Jumbo series is available online and at major music retail outlets. The suggested retail price of the Baby Jumbo WB400SW is $1,499.90 and the Baby Jumbo WB400SWCE is $1,799.90.
