Kemper Profiling Amplifier at Summer NAMM 2011

You may recall that Kemper unveiled their new ‘Profiling Amplifier’ technology back at Winter NAMM, now the hardware is in production and they’ll be bringing it to Summer NAMM with a few updates.

The Kemper booth #730 will have on display new FX patches, true ToneStack and Signature Amp Profiles ready for the actual release version of the Profiling Amplifier Hardware.

The Kemper Profiling Amplifier takes a new approach to creating authentic guitar amplifier sounds with digital technology in what Kemper call a groundbreaking new process called ‘profiling’.

Instead of modeling one single amp after the personal taste and idea of one developer, with the Kemper Profiling Technology the guitar player can bring their very own and personal guitar amp into the digital domain for further tweaking and sound design as well as comfortably taking all their signature amps sound with them in a convenient lunch box size device.

This idea is that it can “learn” the sonic behavior of any guitar amplifier and, Kemper say, it can then reproduce the exact sounds without needing the original amp or settings.

Michael Elsner, LA based performing and recording artist, will be at the Kemper booth for detailed demonstrations, he will also happily share his studio experiences with the Kemper Profiling Amplifier during the last two months.

Kemper will begin taking orders for the shipping version of the Kemper Profiling Amplifier in August, 2011, however no price has yet been announced.
