Fortin Amplification releases the NATAS Tube Guitar Amplifier

Like its namesake, NATAS assumes many forms, tempting you with diverse tones that are a veritable history lesson of metallic glory. Classic early 80's English crunch to ultra tight late 80's thrash to demented and down-tuned 90's death metal to the most over the top technical excursions of the last decade are all forged into this amplifier. This beast is also a Godsend for the next generation of 8 string and extended scale length guitar players who require an amplifier to handle the full range of their instruments. And of course shredders from all eras will delight in the scorching harmonics, fast tracking and fluid sustain of the NATAS.

With modern styling and a simple & intuitive front panel layout, a robust versatility and an inspiring feel will be experienced from the first chest-pounding chord chunked. This amplifier will retain all of the detail of your instrument even when using front-end stomp boxes and FX units plugged into its all tube buffered effects loop. The NATAS features absolute state of the art transformer sets and circuit design, allowing dense and dissonant chords to retain full clarity at peak gain and volume levels. An extremely dynamic amplifier that will test the limits of players, speakers, and the sanity of listeners everywhere!

The NATAS front control panel L to R: Input, Girth, Grind, Gain, Kill switch, Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, CH channel select switch, Gain, Bright switch, Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Depth, Presence, Master, Standby & Power switches. The Kill switch is a 2-position footswitchable feature that revoices channel 1. Both modes have ample gain for soloing as well as extreme definition for all styles of riffing and chording. Along with the frequency selective gain controls (Girth & Grind), and overall Gain control, these features allow the player to dial in any gain structure imaginable. Channel 2's clean tones are very warm, bouncy, and possess tremendous sparkle, which is further enhanced with the Bright switch. Designed to be a pure clean tone, a touch of overdrive is possible in this channel with its gain control set high.

The rear panel L to R: Mains Input, Footswitch jack, 4-Bias controls and test points, Series/Parallel effects loop with Send Level, On/Off switch, Send jack, Series/Parallel switch, Return jack, Return Level controls, Line Out jack, Level control, and 5 Loudspeaker jacks. The individual Bias controls are a powerful feature and tool for exploring more tonal possibilities with the NATAS amplifier. User can mix and match different tube types together for an almost unlimited range of tones and dynamics. Stock power tube compliment is 2-EL34 + 2-6L6 SED Winged C tubes.

Chassis mounted components are wired, “flying lead” style, to a 1/8″ thick, 4oz weighted FR4 PCB. High quality tube sockets, stainless steel shafted pots, metal switches, metal jacks, custom designed precision wound power, choke and output transformers are mounted to a 14 gauge brushed stainless steel chassis. Front and back panel are red anodized brushed aluminum with white laser etched lettering that will not wear off. Housed in a 3/4″ birch-ply enclosure, accented with custom black aluminum anodized metal grills and a 1/4″ thick machined red aluminum logo plate. Premium components are used throughout, combined with solid, reliable design that will last a lifetime.
