Only 110 of these amp head and cabinet bundle is going to be made available, all of which are hand-wired at the company’s UK Custom Shop, featuring premium components and cosmetics.

Back in 2006, the Tiny Terror is credited as being the one that started the compact, and low-watt amp craze. Its portable design did not compromise the all-tube tone, and became a popular go-to amplifier for many guitarists who are playing in small to medium sized venues. It also became popular for recording, especially since it doesn’t take up too much space and sounds good at lower volume levels.

Now Orange is celebrating this success with limited run special commemorative edition 10th Anniversary Tiny Terror Half Stacks. Each one is described as a point-to-point hand-wired recreation of the original, sharing the same design albeit built using old manual methods to ensure quality and reliability. The company said that only the finest quality components were used and there’s now turret board inside the amp head.

Orange Amps Designer Ade Emsley had this to say, “The 10th Anniversary model is a hand wired version of the standard Terror. The more traditional components add a certain character to the sound. Carbon comp. resistors pass a signal in a certain way and, with a proper hard-wired amp, you’re effectively soldering solid core legs of components together, so the top end is even sweeter and more defined. The construction of this 10th Anniversary edition is actually slightly different from my hard-wired prototypes. The first Tiny Terror I made was on a tag board, whereas the 10th Anniversary model is totally true point-to-point on a strip. It’s much more fiddly and involved this way but you end up with something that looks as smart as it sounds.

Another cool feature of the amp head is its mirror-effect stainless steel chassis, which earned the amp the nick name “Shiny Terror”. This shiny mirror like appeal will easily make the 10th Anniversary Tiny Terror stand out from the other Lunch Box style amplifiers.

Since this is a half-stack bundle, the cabinet also gets the same special treatment, featuring a never-done-before British racing green finish that will never be available separately. The open-back cabinet houses 10″ Celestion G10 Gold alnico speakers, especially chosen to complement the tone of the “Shiny Terror”.

As expected, the limited edition 10th Anniversary Tiny Terror Half Stack comes with a premium price tag, I saw one of the 110 units selling online for $2,999. For more information and the complete specifications, you can visit Orange Amps.
