Schertler introduces the Bass Fidelity Series, a new line of combo amplifiers designed for electric bass.

After focusing on acoustic amplification systems, this new amp line marks the brand’s entry into the electric instrument market. This new line is set for release at this year’s Frankfurt Musikmesse event.
According to Schertler, the Bass Fidelity Series is specially developed to provide power and clarity without affecting your tone and important and sonic characteristics.
These new amps are designed for both recording and live performance, featuring a high-voltage Class A preamp section where most of the tone shaping takes place. Schertler also developed the Class D power amp section along with the long extension woofers. The result is a sound that they describe as deep, clear and warm – one of the main things for which Schertler’s acoustic amps have become so famous.
To show their sincerity to the new market that they entered, the Bass Fidelity Series starts out with three different sizes instead of just one model. The smallest of the bunch is the 300W B10 combo that features a 10″ woofer and 1″ compression driver. Next is the the mid-sized 400W B12 combo with 12″ woofer and two 1″ compression drivers.
Finally, the flagship model 500W B15 features a 500W amp with a 15″ woofer and custom horn drivers. Schertler describes it by saying: “It’s wide frequency range offers excellent overall dynamics as well as a great-sounding bottom end, making it ideal for larger venues and loud environments such as rock concerts. This model is suitable for a range of instruments including 5- and 6-string basses.”
Aside from the new Bass Fidelity Amp series, Schertler will also be unveiling the new “Charlie” jazz guitar amplifier at the upcoming Musikmesse – a 280W amp designed for conventional jazz guitar players.
