Schertler Giulia Acoustic Amp
Schertler welcomes a compact combo amp addition to their Classic acoustic amplifier series - the Giulia amplifier.
This small 50W bi-amplified acoustic amp is designed to let you conjure Schertler's sound quality for practice, small venues and home studios.
The GIULIA is the smaller single-channel sibling of the larger two and three channel DAVID and UNICO amps, it makes Schertler's tone more accessible for those that need smaller sized combo amps. Although smaller in size and weighs in at just 6.3 Kb, it features the same tonality, control surface design and robust construction as the bigger models.
The woody themed exterior of GIULIA makes it pleasing to look at, it may easily be able to double as furniture, especially in your living room and practice area.
Looking at the inside of the amp will show that it drives a 1" dome tweeter and 5" woofer that are bi-amplified. Like studio monitors and powered speakers. this bi-amplification of this amp allows the tweeter and woofer to produce clear and natural sounding tones.
For a portablel amp, the GIULIA comes surprisingly with a versatile input. It can accommodate both 1/4" guitar jacks and XLR cconnections, which lets you use the amp with your favorite microphones, aside fro your acoustic instrument. Schertler took input versatility a step further by adding phantom power (48and 10v) and intelligent electronics that automatically adapts to the line level source you are plugging into.
Other features of this single channel amp include a 3-band EQ and a unique warm low-pas filter, these help the amp produce warmer tones compared to other compact acoustic amps.
Rounding off its cool features are a built-in digital reverb (controlled via potentiometer) and an Insert socket, this allows the connection of an external dynamics processor or a volume pedal. The separate Line and DI outputs enable quick connection with a mixer, subwoofer or other external device
The GIULIA is currently selling online in the UK, for a little under $600. For the complete specs and other information, you can head over to Schertler.
