Slash Enters The Movie Business

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Slash is about to make his movie debut by following Rob Zombie’s footsteps into the world of horror films. The Chapeaued Shredder is setting up a new company called Slasher Films to produce edgy thrillers akin to the genre films of the late ’70s.

“I've always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I've always wanted to do,” the guitarist told Deadline.com. “My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy.”

The company’s first film will be Nothing to Fear, based on a screenplay by Jonathan W.C. Mills (Inside Passage). The film is about a young family who moves into a farmhouse in rural Kansas and accidentally unleashes an ancient, bloodthirsty demon. No director or cast has been announced.
