I have four fender bass guitars which I love,an early 90s presision,2 standard jazz, and a new fender kingsman which I just bought the other week which I can not fault.i needed new strings for one of my six string guitars and ended up coming home from the local guitar shop with a fender modern player jazz bass.first glance at it in the shop it was love at first sight.the finish on it is brilliant.a dull matt dark 2 tone sunburst, what looks to be 2 humbucker pick ups until you plug it in and find 4 pickups that work separate but mix with each other and a thick rich tone that sounds great.the neck and headstock are a flamed maple with a rosewood fretboard that any strat player would love.tried it at a practise session the other day,one band member quick to point out it was Chinese, quick to shut up when we started playing.plays great, looks great, sounds brilliant and at a cost most people can afford.well done fender
