The Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster HSH is a distinctive looking supercharged version of the classic strat design.

This guitar features an ash body with a great looking hand-rubbed stain applied beneath a satin lacquer finish.

This hand stained finish looks familiar because it is comparable to the finish of a typical Gibson SG. The similarity however is just skin deep, as the Hand Stained Ash models come in the same traditional Strat shape. It would have been even more interesting if Fender applied the same hand stained finish to the guitar headstock. But all in all, this is a refreshing new look for the familiar Stratocaster design.

The Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster HSH takes a different turn when it comes to its pickup configuration. It features a beefed up and versatile Humbucking-Single-Humbucking (HSH) configuration. It has an American Standard Stratocaster single-coil middle pickup in between the Twin Head humbucking neck and bridge pickups.

It has a modern C shape neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, in 25.5″ scale and has a Bi-Flex Truss Rod System for stability and intonation. You can choose between a Rosewood or Maple fretboard.

The Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster HSH comes in Wine Red and Mahogany Stain finish, current MSRP is at $1,569.99.
