Fender Select is the new premium electric guitar series from Fender, five carefully selected guitars for select individuals.
Unveiled at the recent NAMM 2012, these top of the line Fender Select guitars are the culmination of Fender’s more than 60 years worth of guitar making experience. The Fender Select series includes five new guitars and two new Fender Select Bass guitars which are designed with a combination of traditional methods and high end features.
With Fender Select, you have a choice of figured tops, fine tone woods, unique finishes, quartersawn or figured maple necks, specially voiced Fender Select pickups and many other premium features. The series also employs the Bi-Flex truss rod system which helps with stability, and the no-load tone control facility that delivers the uncolored tone of the bridge pickup even when dimmed. Fender Select currently stands as Fender’s finest guitar production series, and is stamped with a rear headstock Fender Select medallion. Fender Select Telecaster
The Fender Select Telecaster is a beefed up version of the classic Telecaster model. It features a stunning Violin Burst gloss-lacquer finish on a solid flame maple top, with a natural binding on a honeycomb chambered ash body. Other features include a C shaped birdseye maple neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, Bi-Flex truss rod system, Fender Select Telecaster single-coil neck and bridge and a no-load tone control.
Fender Select Carved Koa Top Telecaster
The Fender Select Carved Koa Top Telecaster is a unique and artsy take on the Telecaster model. It has an eye candy Sienna Edge Burst gloss lacquer finish set on a carved koa top with a lightweight empress body. Other features include a C shaped flame maple neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, Bi-Flex truss rod system, and the same Fender Select Telecaster single-coil neck and bridge with a no-load tone control.
Fender Select Carved Maple Top Telecaster
The Fender Select Carved Maple Top Telecaster is another premium alternative version of the Telecaster model, showcasing the sonic capabilities of maple tone wood. It sports an Amber gloss-lacquer finish set on a lightweight empress body with a carved flame maple top. The same 22 fret C shaped flame maple neck, Bi-Flex truss rod, and Fender Select Telecaster single-coil pickups are used along with a no-load tone control.
Fender Select Stratocaster
The Fender Select Stratocaster is the premium version of the popular Stratocaster model. It has a Dark Cherry Burst gloss-lacquer finish set on an alder body with flame maple top. Its unique 22 fret C shaped flame maple neck has a contoured heel for added convenience. Other features include the Bi-Flex truss rod, new Fender Select Stratocaster single coil pickups set, and the Select signature no-load tone knob.
Fender Select Stratocaster HSS
The Fender Select Stratocaster HSS takes the classic Stratocaster model to tonal extremes by adding a humbucking bridge pickup. It employs an Antique Burst gloss-lacquer finish set on the traditional alder body with flame maple top. It has the same 22 fret contoured C shaped flame maple neck along with the Bi-Flex truss rod. It is equipped with new Fender Select Stratocaster pickups in HSS configuration.
