The Outcaster is a new model announced by Haywire Custom Guitars which is designed to give you both Strat & Tele tones in one guitar.
[The Outcaster]
If you need to have both Tele and Strat sounds at your gigs, there are a number of approaches you can take. Obviously, you can have 2 guitars on stage and swap between them as needed (so long as you don’t need them both in the same song). You can also use effects and modelling software to get the tones.
The alternative Haywire are hoping you’ll go for, is to use their Outcaster, which lets you toggle between Strat & Tele settings.
The Outcaster is a variation on the original Haywire “Stratotelia” except that you can get it with a tremolo.
It has a custom Haywire designed pick guard and a tremolo system instead of the hard tail Telecaster bridge. It will be available with either alnico or active EMG pickups and/or whatever else you need – they are a custom guitar company after-all.
The Outcaster will be available as of the 1st of March from HaywireCustomGuitars.com

Thanks for the update – I’ve changed the availability date in the article above.
Hey Jason! Excellent job. Thanks for your interest in Haywire Custom Guitars and for taking time to write such a great article about the new Haywire “Outcaster”. I play one of these and it has really been a big help to only have to haul one guitar to a gig. It is a hassle free guitar with sounds of both guitars in one familiar package. I know there are players who will benefit from this guitar and some who are right now. Thanks again for your very great write-up. I’ll keep you posted! Rick Mariner
