New: The Alternative Guitar and Amplifier Company
Founded by Mal Stich, The Alternative Guitar and Amplifier Company is, as you might expect from the man who suggested a Marshall amp that would go all the way up to 11 to the makers of Spinal Tap, just a little different.
For a start, the name - probably because it wouldn’t fit, doesn’t appear on any of their headstocks. Instead you’ll find the marks Mal n’ Sal, Mal Stich Guitars or the even more curious 34½ and DooDad. Featuring heelless maple set necks, solid body construction and a series of radically alternative shapes, these electric guitars and basses also sport Kahler tremolo systems, EMG-HZ pickups, Grover tuners, genuine bone nuts and mother of pearl inlays.
