The guitar comes with their patented pickup switching technology, allowing the instrument to produce up to 35 pickup tones.
The S3 Electric Guitar is basically a S-style guitar that highlights AMI’s “Pickup Switch Upgrade” technology. It gives you 30 additional pickup tones on top of the standard 5 tones found on conventional three single-coil instruments.
These new pickup tones come right out of the box and can be controlled via the built-in min-switches mounted on the pickguard. AweSome Musical Instruments says “This is like an artist suddenly finding 30 more colors of paint to work with. Now you can break out of your “pickup tone prison” and sound better than millions of “5 tone” wannabes.”
According to the manufacturer, each of the 35 total sounds cover a variety of tones ranging from traditional guitar sounds like those of a Strat, Tele or LP and on to modern tones. And all of these happens before you even apply your effects, which means that you can get a wide variety of sounds that you can use to play blues, jazz, metal, surf, country twang and everything else in between.
