Staying true to Danalectro design, the pickups are wired in series, which gives out a unique tone. You also get standard volume and tone knobs that independently control each dual lipstick, and it comes with a straightforward 3-way pickup selector.

The Hodad series also have bass guitar models. These bass guitars have the same features as the guitar, with the difference of having 2 single coil Lipsticks, with each pickup having dedicated knobs for volume and tone controls. The bass guitars also have more frets, with a total of 24. Danelectro Hodad Bass guitars are available in Black or Blue Metallic finish.
