Dean Dave Mustaine VMNT Double Neck Diadem
This is the same guitar that Dave has been using on stage at the Big 4 concerts starring his band Megadeth and other metal bands like Anthrax, Slayer and Metallica. The body of this guitar is made of mahogany, and designed to handle the added strain of having two necks. It follows the same shape and details as the other VMNT Double Neck Signature models, only this time it features a Diadem custom graphic finish. The guitar stays with the same scale length as the other models at 25.5″. It has two necks that are crafted to meet the demands of Megadeth’s iconic guitarist, including having an Ebondy fretboard, 24 frets and having the neck carved into a shred friendly D-shape. Guiding your fretting hand across the fretboard are Pearl Mustaine Custom inlays. As for the hardware aspect of this instrument, it comes with die cast tuners following a black over-all theme. To ensure intonation and improve sustain, the guitar comes with a tune-o-matic string through bridge.

Capturing its sound are two Dave Mustaine Duncan Live wire Pickups that are meant to conjure high-gain Megadeth riffs. They are controlled via a 3-way selector pickup, along with a 3-way guitar selector switch. Finally, the guitar comes with its own custom hardshell case because it will obviously be hard to find a generic case for it. The MSRP for this guitar is $1,599, and it is now available for pre-order. For more information, visit Dean Guitars.
