This guitar is the first model that will come out of the new Alliance Series, and as such the company saw it fitting to get the help of talented veteran musician Joe Walsh in designing the instrument.

The Alliance Series Joe Walsh comes with an elegant retro design that is unmistakably Duesenberg, and features key graphical elements that connects the design to its name sake artist. The company developed this design to ensure that they meet Joe’s tone, looks and playability requirements, while still making an effort to make the guitar appealing to other guitarists, including those that are not fans.

Being a signature instrument, the guitar has a number of details that reflect Joe’s personal story and style. The fretboard inlays spell his name in morse code, and the design was chosen because of Joe’s passion for radio operation. Another notable distinction that this guitar has is its mix of nickel and gold finish hardware, which reflects some of Walsh’ earlier guitar projects where he would combine hardware with different finishes.

The “Tibetian Knot” graphic that is located between the two pickups are also said to be a special symbol that is based on one of Joe’s tattoos. As expected, the Alliance Series Joe Walsh its not just about aesthetics, all the specs including the body and neck profile follows the artist’s preference.

The guitar has a thinline 1.37″ deep body, with the back and sides crafted from flamed maple and the top produced from laminated spruce. The double cutaway body is paired with an American hardrock maple neck that is carved into a regular Duesenberg mid D profile. The neck is topped by an Indian rosewood fretboard that is measured to have a 12″ radius and a scale length of 25.6″. The company and Walsh decided to equip the neck with medium jumbo frets.

To get the artist approved tone, the guitar is equipped with Duesenberg Little Toaster pickup on the bridge, and a modern noise-canceling pickup called the Duesenberg SingleTwin Singlecoil, which is described as great at producing clean tones.

Other features of the guitar include having a Radiator tremolo with custom golden grill and Security Lock compatible strap pins. The guitar is available in classic Gold burst finish or solid black finish, the Fullerton Elite Style headstock matches the finish with two tone finish Gold Burst/Brown or Black/Pearloid.
