This new guitar features a new tone shaping control, and it comes with an upgraded set maple neck and hardware.

The Airline Jupiter Pro is released in response to requests for a modernized version of the hollowbody Airline Jupiter. It is based on the early 60’s Silvertone Jupiter H49 model, which was available with Airline in the past, now it comes with improved aesthetics and hardware.

To come up with the upgraded design, Eastwood Guitars teamed up with singer/songwriter and vintage guitar enthusiasts Dallas Green from City and Colour. Part of the upgrade was replacing the wooden bridge with a modern tune-o-matic bridge, and the Pro version comes with a one-piece set maple neck instead of the bolt-on neck of the original.

The neck is topped by a Rosewood fingerboard that features vintage looking block markers. It measures 1 11/16″ at the nut and has a scale length of 25.5″. The headstock, neck and body of this guitar feature white binding.

The new upgraded version maintains the Jupiter shape and hollow-body, featuring mahogany top, back and sides. It comes in a nice looking metallic black finish that complements the white bindings of the guitar, as well as the chrome pickguard.

Eastwood Guitars equipped this guitar with two Argyle pickups, designed to produce vintage tones that matches the instrument’s vintage look. A traditional 3 way switch lets you select which pickup to use, while its flowing pickguard houses 5 controls – dedicated tone and volume knobs for each pickup and a unique Blender control to pan between the pickups for a wider tonal palette.

Dallas Green commented: “I’m pretty excited to have my own signature Airline Jupiter Pro. Being part of the creative process in building it was a whole new experience. Can’t wait for people to play them!”

Mike Robinson, President and founder of Eastwood Guitars, said: “We’ve always loved the look of the Jupiter and working with Dallas to develop this PRO Series has been great. Our fans will truly enjoy this new model for its great looks, tone and playability.”
