Fender Cabronita Telecaster Thinline

The Cabronita Telecaster Thinline is one of the new Spring 2013 instruments from Fender, a modern take on the Thinline design.

Shoreline Gold Finish

This guitar combines the lightweight structure of the Telecaster Thinline with the distinct visuals of the Cabronita series.

The guitar starts out with either a semi-hollow ash or semi hollow alder body, finished in three distinct gloss polyester finishes. The semi-hollow alder body comes in either Shoreline Gold or 2 Color Sunburst finishes, while the semi-hollow ash body comes in White Blond finish. The body is shaped much like a traditional Telecaster, with the addition of hollowed out pockets in the body along with the familiar F hole.

The neck of the Cabronita Telecaster Thinline is made of maple and is carved into a modern “C” profile. It has a scale length of 25.5″ and has a 22 fret maple fretboard. Fender also equipped the guitar with medium jumbo frets and a synthetic bone nut.

Two-Tone Sunburst Finish

Tasked with the duty of capturing the guitar’s tone are two Fideli’Tron Humbucking pickups with a 3-position toggle switch. These pickups are known to have a tone that sits between a humbucker and a single-coil, fine tuned to emphasize more of the higher-mid frequencies. Control is kept to bare minimum, with just a master volume knurled chrome knob on the body.

Other hardware on this guitar include a 6-saddle Vintage-Style Strat Strings-Through-Body Hardtail, sealed tuning machines and a single ply pickguard that matches the finish. The hardware are all finished in chrome.

The Fender Cabronita Telecaster Thinline is currently retailing for around $750. For more information, you can visit Fender.
