Fender Select Telecaster Thinline
After closing down Hamer, Fender expands their Select Series with the Fender Select Telecaster Thinline, along with four new models.
The Fender Select Telecaster Thinline is a premium, top-of-the-line version of their popular semi-hollow electric guitar.
The Fender Select Series are guitars with full-blown aesthetics, top of the line instruments that are expertly crafted using Fender's decades of expertise for the select guitarists that can afford them. With the new 2013 Select Series models, you will find the latest figured tops, beautiful finishes, choice tone woods, as well figured and quartersawn maple necks.
The Fender Select Thinline Telecaster is an artsy take on their popular semi-hollow guitar. Its semi-hollow ash wood body features a stylish looking flame mapletop and the Select Series' distinctive violin burst finish. The guitar's nickel/chrome hardware blends in with the finish to create the guitars overall striking appeal.
The guitar features a C-shaped birdseye maple neck with a satin lacquer finish and Fender's Bi-Flex truss rod system. The neck is topped by a compound radius birdseye maple fretboard, with 22 medium jumbo frets.
The tones produced by this guitar are captured by custom made Fender Select Telecaster single-coil neck and bridge pickups. They are controlled via a three-way pickup selector and heavy-knurled chrome control knobs. Other features include a four-ply aged white pearloid pickguard, American Standard Telecaster bridge with bent steel saddles and stamped brass plate and Fender Select headstock medallion.
The other 2013 Select models are as great looking as the Thinline, most notable of which is the Fender Select Carved Maple Top Jazzmaster, which is a high-end version of the classic Jazzmaster. Other guitar models include variations of the popular Strat and Tele design: Fender Select Stratocaster HSS, Fender Select Telecaster HH, and the Fender Select Carved Top Telecaster SH.
