Godin Montreal Premiere Semi Hollow
Godin Guitars introduces their latest semi-hollow guitar, the Montreal Premiere, featuring Godin's "breathe-through" carved-core design.
The Montreal based guitar manufacturer explained that this guitar promotes free airflow through the interior center block, allowing for improved resonance.
The Godin Montreal Premiere is the latest addition to their Signature Series guitars. Although it looks like a full hollow body archtop, it is actually considered as a thinline / semihollow body electric guitar.
The body of this guitar comes with Canadian wild cherry top, back and sides and comes with Godin's unique breathe-through carved spruce core. According to Godin, this unique design gives the guitar a resonance that's unlike other semi-hollow guitars.
Mario Biferali, Godin’s Sales & Marketing Manager, commented: “Over two years in the making, the insides of the Montreal Premiere are what make it so special. Its breathe-through core is truly the soul of this guitar. It’s so alive and has a spirit all its own. You have to play it to believe it.”
The guitar has a 24 3/4" scale length mahogany set-neck. It is topped by a rosewood fingerboard and features a contoured high-gloss black headstock. Fretboard radius is measured at 12' while the nut width is at 1 11/16".
Godin equipped the Montreal Premiere with two Custom Godin humbucker pickups. Godin designed the pickups to produce versatile blues and rock tones. These are controlled by a traditional 3 way pickup selector along with a volume and tone knob.
