Reverend Guitars add two new finish options to their contoured bolt-on electric guitar, the Kingbolt.

This announcement follows up on Reverend’s recent color variant releases for their other guitar models.

The standard Kingbolt guitar that comes with Reverend Special-H Zebra pickups is now available in Satin Army Green finish with a maple fretboard. This new look adds to the original color configurations: Metallic Blue with maple fretboard, Metallic Copper Fire with rosewood fretboard and Black with maple fretboard.

The Kingbolt RA model that comes with Railhammer humbucking pickups is touched by King Midas, and is now available in Lakeshore Gold with rosewood fretboard. This is the same finish that was made popular by guitarist King Parris. Ofcourse, the Kingbolt RA is still available in its original colors: Satin Army Green with maple fretboard and Metallic Gold Burst with rosewood fretaboard.

The Kingbolt Standard and RA versions follow the same offset body shape and specifications, with the only difference being the use of Railhammer pickups on the RA model. The Special-H Zebra pickups used on the Standard model is designed to provide the best tonal match for the Kingbolt, using traditional pickup building methods. The Railhammer pickups on the other hand use non traditional methods, combining rail and pole magnets in one pickup. The rail magnet captures the thicker strings to keep the lows tight, while the poles are assigned to the thinner strings to keep the highs fat.

Like all Reverend guitars, both Kingbolt models feature pin-lock tuners and a graphite nut that complement each other to improve tuning stability. Also following the Reverend theme is the use of Korina wood for the body. Other features of the Kingbolt include Wilkinson WVS50 IIK Tremolo and Reverend’s Bass contour knob.

The Kingbolt standard is currently retailing for around $899, while the Kingbolt RA is priced at around $949. For more information about the guitars, head over to Reverend.
