Peavey PXD guitars for metal players

Peavey has introduced the PXD Series, a new breed of 'extreme' electric guitars for modern metal players. With supercharged active pickups coupled directly to menacing slabs of tone-sustaining mahogany, the Peavey PXD Series is the sound of full-on aggression and the perfect complement to the Peavey 6505 Series guitar amplifiers, already a metal legend in the arsenals of bands like Trivium, In Flames, Bullet For My Valentine, Machine Head, Darkest Hour and more.

True to the music that inspired them, the new PXD Series guitars are built for speed, slicing leads and razor-sharp riffs.

The Peavey PXD Series launches with four distinct models, the Tomb, Twenty-Three, Tragic and Void, with a range of feature options including Kahler tremolos, adjustable bridges with a string-through design and wicked designs that ship with Coffin Case cases or gig bags. The initial launch of PXD guitars will offer satin black finish with aged aluminum pickguard, inlay and truss rod cover, with additional options to follow.

PXD guitars feature high-output Peavey VFL active pickups, or EMG pickups with the EMG-AB Afterburner tone circuit, which boosts input gain up to 20 dB for the highest levels of saturation anywhere.

Peavey PXD Series guitars will be available from authorized Peavey retailers in Q2 2008. MSRP for the PXD Series ranges from $399.99 to $899.99.
