Vintage-style, chambered-body Peavey electrics to complement new amps
Hartley Peavey and the Peavey guitar division have developed two vintage-style, chambered-body electric guitars to complement the company’s inspired range of class-A amplifiers such as the new Windsor Studio, JSX Mini Colossal and ValveKing Royal 8.

“Class-A amplifiers have very different tonal characteristics than modern amplifiers,” said Hartley Peavey, Founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics. “When you play a guitar that is designed in the same vintage style through an amp like our Windsor Studio, they work together to produce amazing tones with marvelous subtlety and diversity. The Peavey HP Signature Blues and Generation chambered guitars grew out of the same wellspring of inspiration that led us to design these class-A amps. These are the sounds that inspired me to play rock & roll, and devote my life to music.”
The HP Signature Blues EX is designed with mini-bucker pickups that work with the chambered body to deliver focused mid-range tones with a clear high end. The guitar also exhibits excellent response—when you attack the strings hard, the pickups distort, and when you attack the strings lightly, they clean up. As its name suggests, the HP Signature Blues guitar brings an interesting flavor to blues, jazz and classic rock & roll playing styles.
The Generation Chambered EX features lipstick pickups in the neck and middle positions that give a light, open feel to the guitar’s sound. This chambered guitar also features a traditional single-coil bridge pickup and a five-way selector, as well as a maple neck and fretboard with our distinctive vintage “V” shape.
The HP Signature Blues EX and Generation Chambered EX guitars will be available from authorized Peavey retailers in Q4 2007.
