Limited Edition Ron Fellows Model Guitar now available

Paul Reed Smith Guitars presented Corvette Racing Driver Ron Fellows with a one-off PRS Corvette Standard 22 guitar painted to match Ron's signature Z06 Corvette earlier this year, and the guitar is now available as a limited edition PRS model. The new Corvette was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show on February 8, 2007, and PRS Guitars President Jack Higginbotham was there to surprise Fellows, an avid guitar player, with the custom guitar.

Even though it was made clear during the auto show that the custom guitar was not available to the public, PRS Guitars' customer service immediately started receiving inquiries about Fellows' guitar. PRS Guitars Customer Service Manager Shawn Nuthall stated, “After the Chicago Auto Show, I started receiving numerous phone calls and emails from Corvette and Ron Fellows fans from across the country. I would pass these comments along to Jack Higginbotham and PRS National Sales & Marketing Manager Larry Urie. In the end, there was too much excitement surrounding this guitar; we knew we had to build a limited series.”

PRS reached out to Fellows in April, and Fellows welcomed the idea of having both a signature edition automobile and a signature guitar named for him. “I'm just a Neil Young wannabe,” stated the Canadian racing champion. “It's amazing to have both a limited edition Corvette and PRS guitar model named for me.”

Only 50 Ron Fellows Corvette Standard model PRS guitars will be built. This limited edition will retail for approximately $4,000 and will begin arriving at PRS dealers across the country later this year.

Since 2005, PRS Guitars has been a proud sponsor of Fellows' C6.R racing team. PRS and Chevy have also teamed up several times for ALMS, NASCAR, music and charity events.
