This new guitar series will feature a set-in 3pc mahogany neck matched with EMG 81/85 combo active humbucking pickups.

The 2013 Damien starts with Schecter’s C-1 body style which is simply a super strat body with the familiar double cutaway shape. The body comes in Satin black finish which Schecter then wraps with a great looking silver binding to highlight its clean and classic look.

Instead of traditional bolt-on neck, Schecter preferred to have a Set-in 3pc mahogany neck which offers improved stability and playability. The neck is topped by a rosewood fingerboard which showcases the infamous Damien Bat inlay which serves as the instruments distinctive marking. The bat inlays follow the overall silver-black theme with its silver metal appearance.

Built for rock music and its variations, the guitar comes with EMG 81 and EMG 85 humbucking active pickups. These are the go-to pickup configuration popularized by hard rock and metal guitar players.

The dark and silver theme of the guitar is further reinforced by the guitar’s chrome hardware which include its Floyd Rose 1000 locking tremolo and tuners. You can also have the guitar with Schecter’s unique Sustainiac stealth system which greatly improves sustain for use with wailing solos.

Schecter Guitar Research is set to make 6, 7 and 8 string versions of this guitar available for public consumption. Lefties will also be happy to know that they will not be left behind with plans on making left handed versions available.

The Schecter Damien Platinum Collection guitars are expected to have an MSRP of around $789.
