$899 American made set-neck electric guitar released by U.S. Masters

U.S. Masters challenges import price points with their Avada SFT, a fully American-made set-neck guitar at an $899 street price, including case. The substantial quality of design, construction, materials and workmanship makes the Avada SFT one of the best price/performance values in the entire electric guitar industry. It is completely made in the USA in U.S. Masters’ Middleton, WI factory using the same manufacturing processes and neck profile as their high-end set-neck guitars.

A hard (rock) maple neck gives the Avada SFT substantial improvements in sound quality, strength and stability over mahogany neck guitars. It is attached to the body using U.S. Masters Interlocking Set-neck joint to provide the best possible coupling between neck and body. The neck and neck joint are extremely rigid so more energy stays in the strings for a stronger attack, longer sustain and to generate more tone. This also gives the guitar an extremely solid, responsive feel.

Chosen both for tone and for appearance, the body is solid mahogany, 1-3/4” thick. A special hand-rubbed satin finish process protects the Avada SFT while giving it a natural, warm look. The wood is fully sealed and then coated with a satin urethane to give it a smooth, durable finish with no pours or grain lines appearing in the surface. The low mass finish is good for tone and the satin surface gives the neck that “broken-in” feel of a guitar that you’ve played for years. U.S. Masters has used this finish process for over 6 years and it has proven itself for appearance, maintenance and durability in actual use.

The maple neck is very strong as compared to mahogany necks. Even so, the neck design features a volute and an angled headstock to make the headstock even stronger and the additional stiffness provides even better pitch and tuning stability. A 2-way truss rod provides adjustment for proper neck relief. The unbound pau ferro (Bolivian rosewood) fingerboard has the density of ebony, but with better stability, and the beautiful ribbon pattern and coloration looks good with the mahogany body. Scale length is 24-3/4” with 22 frets and a 12” radius. High alloy nickel silver frets are used for better tone and longer life.

Avada SFT is equipped with American-made, premium quality Sperzel Standard (non-locking) tuning machines, a Graph Tech nut and the rigid maple neck make for smoother tuning and superior pitch stability.

U.S. Masters Avada SFT electric guitar includes a hardshell case at $1,250 MSRP, with a street price of $899.

It is available in a darkened natural satin finish or a satin black finish.

Avada SFT is now shipping.
