Rocksmith made a big impression in both the gaming and guitar world when it was released by Ubisoft back in 2011. While other games require toy guitar controllers, this game lets you plug in a real guitar, which allows for both learning and fun playing at the same time.
The new Rocksmith 2014 takes guitar gaming to another level with interface improvements, and enhancements to the learning and jamming modes. It also comes with 50 new songs to to play and practice with, plus there are over 150 songs that you can add to your collection from their online catalog.
It is said that Ubisoft tried many guitar brands before choosing Epiphone as their model guitar. According to them, they were impressed with Epiphone’s experience, heritage, quality and performance. As expected, the main guitar to be showcased would be the Les Paul, being one of the most popular guitar models, it rubbed off some of its charm and mojo to help Rocksmith gain its current popularity.
Jim Rosenberg, Epiphone President said: "Together, Epiphone and Rocksmith are changing the way people learn how to play guitar and bass. Rocksmith 2014 will prove to be an exciting new chapter in the ongoing evolution of this revolutionary learning software, and Epiphone will be there every step of the way. The sweepstakes will be a great way for our longtime fans and new fans to get in on the fun."
As expected, the most anticipated prize in this year long sweestakes would be the Les Paul Standard Plustop Pro guitar. The long name of the guitar hints to its premium features including its elegant flame top, Probucker pickups with coil-tapping and many more. The Epiphone Guitar Book is also a something to look forward to in this contest, featuring 147 pages of rich illustrations covering Epiphone's history and the artists that helped establish the brand.
Jim Rosenberg added: "When fans come to Epiphone.com, they can enter our sweepstakes and also browse our guitar guide so they can easily choose the right Epiphone to go with their new ROCKSMITH 2014.”
