This award ceremony aims to honor deserving women in music at the 2016 Winter NAMM trade show, and as early as now, they have started to accept nominations.

A number of professional women musicians, artists and music business professionals have already been honored by She Rocks Award, including multi-platinum artist Colbie Caillat, Latin Grammy award-winning artist Gaby Moreno, popular band The Bangles, percussionist Sheila E and many more.

Interestingly, the awards also honored music business professionals that include the VP of Brand Marketing at Martin Guitar Amani Duncan, President of Peavey Electronics Mary Peavey; Experience Hendrix CEO Janie Hendrix, Executive VP and CFO of the Gretsch Company Dinah Gretsch and others.

Now that the fourth awards ceremony is coming, they hope to continue to celebrate the accomplishments of women musicians, and they are looking to you to help them find deserving women by nominating those who you feel deserve such honor. You are encouraged to nominate trailblazing artists, music industry peers, friends, colleagues, or even yourself if you know that you deserve it. Submission of nominations is scheduled to end on September 1, 2015, so there’s still plenty enough time to find candidates who really are making a difference in the world of music.

WiMN Founder Laura B. Whitmore says, “We are thrilled to open nominations for the 2016 She Rocks Awards, and look forward to shining a spotlight on outstanding women in music. There is an abundance of talent within our industry, and we are excited to give recognition to the power players making a difference.”

The She Rocks Award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 22, 2016 – in Anaheim California during the Winter NAMM Trade Show. This event serves as one of the highlights of NAMM, and is expected to bring together industry professionals, music icons, artists, fans and media for a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates women in music. There will also be featured performances, giveaways, a silent auction, networking opportunities and more.
