The Bonamassa Experience Contest by Ernie Ball

Win free gear or spend a day with Joe Bonamassa and his impressive vintage guitar collection by joining the Ernie Ball Bonamassa Experience.

The Bonamassa Experience

Obviously you won't be able to take home any of Bonamassa's vintage guitars and amps, but you get the chance to win $70,000 worth of gear from Music Man, Dunlop, Guitar Center and many more.

To join this contest, all you have to do is buy participating Ernie Ball guitar and bass strings and look for the paper insert inside. Each paper insert will have a unique Bonamassa Experience 16 digit code that you can then use to register via their online submission form.

There is also a free alternative method to joining the contest, that is by hand printing your name, valid email address and mailing address , phone numbers and birthdate on a 3" x 5" piece of paper and mailing it with proper postage to "The Bonamassa Experience" c/o Ernie Ball Inc., P.O. Box 4117, San Luis Obispo, CA 93403. Note that it has to be postmarked by September 30 and received no later than October 7 to be valid. Once validated, you get one unique code that you can use to join the grand raffle.

The initial phase of the contest will run until September 30, 2015 and is currently exclusive to strings brought from Guitar Center in the USA. Beginning October 1, the contest will expand to international retailers in the UK, France, Germany and Canada.

The Bonamassa Experience will send five grand prize winners to an all-expense-paid trip to the famed Guitar Center Hollywood Vintage Room in Los Angeles California. There the winners will spend the day with Joe and his precious vintage gear. Joe Bonamassa’s vintage guitar and amplifier collection includes several 1959 Gibson Les Paul as well as rare Fender Stratocasters and more. Bonamassa has hand-selected eight of his favorites from the collection to share with the grand prize winners. Earlier this year he sat down with Ernie Ball to showcase each guitar’s personal importance and unique qualities. Here is a video where he demoes the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Snake Bite:

Joe Bonamassa says, "My relationship with Ernie Ball started simply because they make the best strings around, but grew into a true partnership over the years. Ernie Ball has welcomed me into their family – a remarkably talented roster of artists – and continuously works to provide creative opportunities for me and other guitarists across the globe to further our craft and share our music with the world."

Ernie Ball Music Man President Brian Ball adds, "Ernie Ball is fortunate to have one of the strongest artist rosters in the world, including icons such as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney, Slash, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards and Joe Bonamassa. The Bonamassa Experience continues our commitment to providing guitarists all over the world with opportunities to be inspired by and interact with their heroes."

In addition to the special guitar trip, Grand Prize winners will also take home actual gear prizes that vary depending on the type of custom "pick" you get from your Ernie Ball guitar and bass string sets. The Prizes Include:

  • Gold Picks: Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport electric guitar
  • Blue Picks: Sterling by Music Man AX30 electric guitar
  • Green Picks: Dunlop Bonamassa Cry Baby Pedal
  • Yellow Picks: Dunlop Bonamassa Fuzz Face Pedal
  • Purple Picks: Ernie Ball Joe Bonamassa guitar strap
  • Red Picks: $50 Guitar Center gift card

On top of the grand prize selection, over 1700 instant-win prizes are also available by finding Joe’s custom guitar picks hidden in select packs of Ernie Ball strings. For more information, and to join the contest you can head over to Ernie Ball.
