The Creamery unveils its newest handwound pickup for 2012, the Creamery “Classic ’71” Wide Range Humbucker.
It took them 18 months of setbacks and hard work to bring about the Classic ’71 humbucker. It is designed to capture the 1970’s Tele or Thinline Humbucker sound.
The new Classic ’71 Humbucker is a true replacement for the modern / wide range thinline humbucker reissue pickups. It is designed to provide clearly defined tones and adds focus on adding warmth.
It features ferrous internal reflector plate, individual threaded magnets, nickel silver baseplates and nickel silver/nickel plated custom designed covers. The only difference between the original and the Classic ’71 Humbucker is its pole spacing, the Classic ’71 has a different pole spacing for neck and bridge. This allows for better string definition. The Creamery also calibrates the output of their pickups ensuring balanced output in all positions.
Features:
- Threaded Pole or Optional Alnico 2 Magnet
- 42AWG Coil Wire
- 10.7K Bridge Output
- 9.8K Neck Output
- Lead Wire: Vintage Braided
The current manufacturer retail price for a set of bridge and neck Classic ’71 Humbuckers is £230.00.
