DR Strings introduces the K3 Neon Hi-Def White strings – UV and Black Light active strings for electric, bass and acoustic.
This new luminescent white color expands the DR Strings Neon series, there are now five available colors to choose from.
These Neon coated strings helped transform DR Strings from being virtually unknown to conquering a niche market. Aside from giving your instrument a boost in the eye candy department, users have been satisfied with how the strings perform and how long they last.
The new DR Neon Hi-Def White Luminescent String set gives guitarist a more familiar option when shopping for colored strings. I can imagine that this set is designed to appease those that were interested with neon color strings, but prefer a tamer color palette.
Like the other Neon Hi-Def Strings, this set features a super bright coating, be it under stage lighting or daylight. The coating on each string is 100% black light active so they will glow strongly under UV lighting. They are described by the manufacturer as “so bright in appearance they look like they are on fire.”
DR’s K3 coating features improved longevity, they have documented factory tests that show an increase of 9 times the lifespan of previous DR coatings. According to DR Strings: “The new, durable K3™ coating will NOT strip away, peel or come off under any playing condition we have put it thorough in numerous, stressful factory tests”.
The new Neon Hi-Def White Strings come in 5 different gauges for electric, which ranges from gauge 9-42 to 11-50. The acoustic sets come in two gauges, 11-50 and 12-54. Luminescent white bass strings are also available in two 4-string gauges, 40-100 and 45-105. DR Strings also offer neon white strings especially made for 5-string and 6-string basses.
