HSN sold over 22,000 Keith Urban “Light The Fuse” entry level guitar packages within 8 hours of release!

It broke the country singer and guitar player’s previous sales record where 20,000 Phoenix guitar models were sold last November.
These impressive sales records were all done through Home Shopping Network (HSN), the retail channel that exclusively sells the Keith Urban branded guitar packages.
Instead of going for big brand guitar makers, the American Idol judge teamed up with HSN resulting in a very successful business venture, selling an impressive number of affordable entry-level guitar packages right after they were released.
The Keith Urban Light The Fuse package is named after Urban’s album “Fuse” and “Light The Fuse” tour that kicked off in 2013. It comes in two versions, one with acoustic-electric and another with an electric guitar. These guitars are accompanied by a 15 Watt guitar amplifier and a variety of artist branded accessories.
Surprisingly, the signature guitars are not much different from other Chinese made entry-level guitars when it comes to build and quality. The acoustic-electric guitar has mahogany back and sides and a spruce with flame maple top, while the electric guitar features solid Agathis body with flame-maple top. So if they are so simple, why do they continue to sell like hotcakes? HSN simply added distinctive “Light The Fuse” logo and graphics that made the guitar more appealing to fans.
Aside from the obvious guitar and amplifier combination, the Keith Urban Light The Fuse package features an extensive bundle of accessories, including spare strings, picks, truss rod wrench, straps, cables, pickguard (for the electric guitar version), semi-hard guitar case, learning materials and a DVD tutorial made by Keith Urban himself. With this much accessories bundled, even non-fans will find the package very tempting.
Urban himself appeared at HSN to announce this new beginner guitar packages, and it is reported that over 22,000 were immediately sold within 8 hours. This follows after another impressive sales record where another Urban branded merchandise, the Phoenix line of guitars, sold 20,000 packages.
