Systec Designs introduces stageClix
Systec Designs has introduced stageClix, a digital wireless bass instrument. stageClix uses digital technologies of CD-quality. So no more compander problems. They have chosen a frequency of 2.4 GHz, because this is available worldwide and legal to use. The system has a batterylife of at least 15 hours straight use, on two (rechargeable) AAA-penline batteries. The batteries will be recharged quickly and automatically, 80% in 3 hours, when the transmitter is plugged into the receiver.
The materials used for both the transmitter and receiver have been carefully tested by us and have been found "roadproof". The shell of the transmitter has been manufactured of indestructible polycarbonate, this is also used to make safetygoggles. The receiver is incased in a robuste metal case.

The system uses a transmitting technique which we call ’triple-diversity’. By using three channels at the same time there’s no chance of interference anymore. It’s also really easy to use, there is no installation procedure. Plug in the guitar, power on and ready!
The transmitter has been designed to fit on all brands of (bass-)guitars, and there’s no beltpack needed. The plug is the transmitter!
Specifications:
- No audible delay (< 3 milliseconds)- Digital CD-quality (no compander)
- Small/ Light (transmitter is about the size of a lighter)
- Can be used legally worldwide (2.4 GHz-band)
- Works on rechargeable batteries, these are (quickly) being recharged when the transmitter is plugged into the receiver
- True plug&play
- Works 15 hours straight
- 8 stageClix-transmitters can be used simultaneously without interference
- 60 metres reach (open field)
The system will be available in December 2008.
