Man Thwarts Intruder With His Guitar

Man defends his home by thwarting his intruder with his guitar.

Axe
Not the actual guitar!

A Manassas man took the ESP sword idea to the next level, he became a true to life hero that used his 6 string “axe” to save the day.

According to a local report from NBC the incident happened on October 1st. The accused John Marc Mayhew, A 32 year old man, allegedly tried to break his way into a Northern Virginia home.

The resident of the house, which we will hide behind the name guitar “hero”, was able to block the front door forcing the would be intruder to look for other points of entry. The intruder, who does not know when to quit, ran to the back of the house and again tried to force his way through.

With his property and life at stake, our resident guitar hero was left with no choice but to unsheathe his ultimate weapon – his trusty 6 string acoustic guitar.

While the intruder was busy trying to break the door, our guitar hero probably weighed in the cost of guitar repairs over the cost of having an intruder get in his house.

Finally, since relic and aged guitar looks are currently in, he decided to add some dents on his guitar by rocking the daylights out of the attacker. He slammed the guitar on the attacker’s head, immediately knocking him down the stairs, unconcious.

Sadly his guitar’s neck broke with the force of the attack, as if giving its own life force to protect its owner.

Like in the movies, the police came a few minutes later to clean up after our Manassas guitar hero. The 32-year-old intruder who was a Palmyra native, was charged with public intoxication, unlawful entry, and assault on an officer. I would also like to think that the if found guilty, the accused will pay for the guitar repair/replacement costs.
